Kayla and Aaron met at Derby Bowling Alley in the summer of 2012. Both were in a Battle of the Sexes league, which means a team of five guys bowls a team of five girls every week, and spent the summer trying to get to know each other. Kayla had her eyes set on him before the end of the league but Aaron might have needed a bit more convincing because it was October 20th before their first date. On the first date sparks flew and little by little their lives intertwined and that led to the proposal on October 19th, the night they celebrated their anniversary.
